CADDA Knowledge Transfer Voucher (CKTV) Funding

About CADDA Knowledge Transfer Vouchers

CADDA Knowledge Transfer Vouchers (CKTVs) provide co-funded pump-priming awards to support collaborative research and innovation across the diagnostics pipeline. Projects must involve at least one industry or SME partner and one academic partner, and are designed to accelerate the development, validation, and translation of innovative diagnostics towards real-world application and commercialisation.

Projects may request up to £50,000 and should demonstrate clear collaboration between academic and industrial partners, with the aim of progressing diagnostics technologies along the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) pathway.

The next round of CKTV funding will open in September 2026. The CADDA Community of Practice (CoP will be notified when the updated guidelines and application form are available.

2025 CKTV Round One – CADDA Knowledge Transfer Vouchers Funding Awarded

The Centre for Advanced Diagnostics Development and Application (CADDA) has awarded over £269,000 to six innovative projects, aimed at driving the development of diagnostics for human and animal health.

• New funding will enable short-term, high-impact collaboration between academic and industry partners
• Accelerating the translation of cutting-edge research into real-world applications.
• Each project aims to address a specific challenge or unmet need for human or animal diagnostics.

This is the first round of projects to be awarded through the CADDA Knowledge Transfer Vouchers funding scheme. Vouchers worth up to £50,000 were awarded on a competitive basis, to provide each business with access to the technical expertise, research and facilities in Kent, London and Manchester.
